Day 1: Dublin - Killarney
Pass the River Liffey on the way to Cashel, explore the amazing Mitchelstown Caves, then we head through the Golden Vale to Blarney in the rebel county of Cork. Overnight Killarney
Day 2: Killarney - Ennis
Today it’s all about breathtaking scenery and adventure. Spend the day exploring the dramatic Dingle Peninsula and we take you to the edge of the ancient world…and beyond! Then it’s time to take the ferry over the mighty Shannon to Co Clare. Overnight Ennis
Day 3: Ennis - Galway
Hold on to your hats because today we’ll visit the awesome Cliffs of Moher. After lunch we’ll explore the weird and magical world of the Burren – Ireland’s lunar landscape and home to ancient tombs, fairies and leprechauns! Our stop for the night is Galway - Ireland’s cultural capital and festival city. Overnight Galway
Day 4: Inis Mór Day (Aran Islands)
We spend a whole day on Inis Mór – the largest of the Aran Islands and made famous by Father Ted! Inis Mór (only 9 miles long by 2 miles wide or 10 by 3 depending on who you talk to!) has over 3000 miles of stone walls! The locals here are fluent Gaelic speakers and you’ll be free to explore the island at your leisure. You can hike around the island or even better fun - explore the island by bike! You can’t miss the awe-inspiring fortress of Dun Aonghasa – a 3000 year old ring fort perched on the edge of a 300 foot cliff. After a breath taking day it’s time to head back to the main land for a pint of Guinness and a fun filled night. Overnight Galway
Day 5: Galway - Derry
Today we make our way through the wild, rugged and rural Connemara. Then along the surfy coast of Co. Sligo to the resting place of world famous poet W.B. Yeats. The medieval city of Derry will test your emotions as you are brought face to face with its troubled past on a walk through both past and present. Overnight Derry.
Day 6: Derry - Belfast
Today you’ll wander through the haunted battlements of Dunluce Castle before following in the footsteps of Giants on the eighth natural wonder of the world – The Giant’s Causeway. We’ll take you to the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge* (weather permitting) where you can sway Indiana Jones style. Then it’s party time in the North’s vibrant capital Belfast. Overnight Belfast
Day 7: Belfast - Dublin
This morning you can take a Black Cab tour of Belfast city. On the Black Cab tour you’ll visit the Loyalist and Republican heartlands of the city where you’ll learn about the Troubles and sign the Peace Wall. See the political murals and explore the underbelly of the city in your taxi with a real Belfast local at the wheel. Or just spend the morning wandering around Belfast either way you’ll enjoy what you see. Leaving the politics behind we head back towards to Dublin. En route we’ll stop off to see a ruined monastery with High Celtic Crosses and finish off by passing the site of the Battle of the Boyne.
